In Defense of Sayaka Maizono (Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Spoilers)
Being my flagship entry into the world of video essays, this project had both ambition and thoughtfulness in high amounts- though I had undoubtedly lacked the technical and narrative prowess to achieve the goals that I had set out to accomplish.
Looking back, it's clear that this video was an adequate starting point, as well as an excellent reference for later improvement. Though the unpolished nature of the content is more than clear, there are still some aspects that even my contemporary projects haven't been able to capture- such as the smooth flow and clarity of ideas. As such, this piece still stands as a vital source of inspiration that I come back to from time to time.
Some areas of improvement that I specifically took note of were:
Vocal delivery
Audio balancing
Clarity of writing
Engagement of imagery
